Talking with teens — Masal child psychology, Karşıyaka

Individual sessions with 13–18-year-olds and joint sessions with families: anger, withdrawal, school pressure, friendships, screens and tension at home.

Adolescence is when a young person starts to separate from the family and look for their own voice. Closed doors, short answers and sudden anger are often part of that; sometimes they are a sign of a load the teen can’t carry.

In individual sessions we talk openly about confidentiality and its limit on the first day. With the teen’s consent we hold joint sessions with the family and look for ways to hear each other at home.

With families

Curiosity instead of interrogation, side-by-side rather than face-to-face conversations, agreements about phones and bedrooms written together… Parent sessions are one of the most useful parts of this period.

How does it go?

You can join if you want.
